Learners, especially at the college level, pay increasing attention to their peers—to what they think, say, and do, and what they believe is right as they find their place in the world around them. When students collaborate, they have an opportunity to discuss new concepts with someone close to their level of understanding. They get to try out new ideas and ask questions in a small group before speaking to the whole class or finishing a product or assignment. So how do we go about leveraging instructional best practices to support alternative service delivery models that have become a norm? During this session, you will learn about the Four C’s of 21st Century learning and gain practical applications that can be applied to reinforce the notion of communication, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
