Welcome to the STaR Network!
The Student Training and Resource (STaR) Network is a comprehensive program to provide paid professional development and career readiness opportunities to degree-seeking students at MC. The STaR Network was made possible by a 2023 Innovation Grant. The program includes various activities and resources to support students in their academic and professional development. The program aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their current roles at MC and their future careers while supporting the College’s mission to provide students with a high-quality education and prepare them for the workforce and post-graduation success.
Session Schedule and Registration
Who is eligible to participate?
All currently registered degree-seeking students at MC are eligible to participate. If you are a student employee, we recommend discussing this with your supervisor before registering. Unfortunately, noncredit students are not eligible for this program currently.
How are students paid for their participation?
For each STaR Network session you attend in full, a $25 credit will be applied to your MC student account. Credits will be processed after attendance has been confirmed for each session.
How do I sign up?
To sign up, please complete the online registration form for the sessions you are interested in. Registration must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the start of each session.

How many sessions can I attend?
There is no limit to the number of sessions a student can register for, but each session can accommodate up to 24 participants. Please check your schedule to ensure you are available before you submit your registration for any STaR Network sessions. Registration is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have already registered for a session and are no longer able to attend, please contact us ASAP so we can give the space to another student.
I am a staff or faculty member. How can I support the STaR Network?
Faculty and staff are more than welcome to volunteer to attend STaR network professional development sessions to support students by participating in sessions. Please note that only currently registered degree-seeking students at MC will be paid for these opportunities.
