swayWhat is Microsoft Sway?

Microsoft Sway is a free tool that is part of Montgomery College’s Office 365 subscription service. It is available at http://sway.office.com Sway allows you to create interactive presentations that can include text, images, and videos. Sway contains several presentation themes which can be applied to your presentation in an instant, and you are easily able to swap between themes. This tool can help you evolve the way you establish a sense of instructor presence with your Course Materials.

Why will using Microsoft Sway to create course materials enhance instructor presence?

Microsoft Sway allows you to create visual stories. These are presentations that can include images and video material. Once you assemble these materials, there is a built-in design engine that will take care of your presentation formatting. There are many designs to select from, so you don’t need to be a pro to create presentations that are visually appealing. These visually appealing presentations can help promote student engagement.
