Hello Elite!

I need to use google docs more and more to work with students and to work with colleagues at other universities. I still don’t have a good handle sharing documents and folders between my google drive and others.

Will there be a training session on this in future?

THANKS

Dear Alexandra,

To get up and running right away with Google Docs, I would highly recommend trying Lynda.com. The college has a free subscription to this resource, which can be accessed by clicking the professional development tab, and then scrolling to the bottom of the page, and clicking the sign in button on Lynda.com. Once you are there, log in with your Montgomery college MyMC credentials. Once you are logged onto Lynda.com, check out this course, titled https://www.lynda.com/Google-Docs-tutorials/Google-Docs-Essential-Training/361649-2.html?org=montgomerycollege.edu, Google Docs, Essential Training, where you can learn how to format a doc, collaborate on a doc, use a doc on a mobile device, etc.

If that course doesn’t meet your needs, there are several others on Lynda.com that you can take for free at your own pace, right at the convenience of your computer, or tablet.

Thanks for “Asking ELITE.”
