The Blackboard Text editor features improvements to the interface to make adding content easier for faculty and students. It also makes content more accessible. However, there are some big changes to how the interface appears. Please use the resources below to help you get started using the text editor.
Blackboard Text Editor Summer 2020 Update: This handout is a quick primer to help you see how the text editor has changed from the old version to the new version. Using the old text editor icons as a reference, you will be directed to where these icons are located in the new text editor. At a glance, you will see how to expand the text editor, add images, and video to your course. In addition, FAQs about the text editor are answered in detail, including why text wrapping has disappeared, the best way to copy text into the text editor, and questions about the math editor. A glossary of the text editor icons is also included.
Blackboard Content Editor Course: This is the text editor course for Digital Fundamentals. If you are experienced using the Blackboard Text Editor, most of your questions should be answered in the Blackboard Text Editor Summer 2020 Update. However, if you need a more in-depth discussion of the steps to add an image or video than is presented in the previous handout please visit this course for more clarification of the steps involved. The text editor glossary is also included in this document.
