Affordability is a goal of MC2025, and textbook affordability has been a growing student concern for years. The impact of the COVID-19 emergency and remote learning period has decreased the annual use of textbooks. Because of the COVID-19 emergency, planning for increased online learning, and as a means to extend the Library’s successful textbook program in an online environment, the Library seeks to connect faculty with appropriate, licensed e-book alternatives as part of Z course creation efforts and MC2025 affordability goal. MC faculty can leverage the Library’s large and growing e-book collection of unlimited user and DRM free titles to be used and adopted in course syllabi.
