Farhana Islam recently interviewed Nhi Nguyen, a program coordinator located in San Francisco for an organization that supports underrepresented students studying technology and software engineering. As a first-generation college student who grew up in Silver Spring, MD, Ms. Nguyen majored in healthcare management but always had an interest in business, which she pursued through an internship while an undergraduate student. She shared the impact on mental health when one is on the wrong path–and how you can use your experience to pivot to a better fit. Her lessons on being adaptable are inspiring.
