The Southern Management Leadership Program

The Southern Management Leadership Program (formerly the Hillman Entrepreneurs Program) is a three-year experiential learning program that supports, develops, and graduates ethical leaders who want to energize and give back to their local communities. Students complete their associate’s degree at Montgomery College and transfer as a cohort to complete their undergraduate education at the University of Maryland, College Park. When they graduate, they continue to stay connected through professional relationships and lifelong friendships.

  • One-on-one advising and mentoring plus paid internships
  • 55% scholarship funds covering tuition and fees
  • Additional funds for books and supplies
  • Exclusive 3-credit courses in entrepreneurship

At University of Maryland:

  • Lifelong network of entrepreneurial partners
  • A scholarship covering up to 50% of tuition
  • Career guidance and support
  • A minor in technology entrepreneurship from University of Maryland, College Park
