What is Tech-it-Out?
The mission of the Tech-it Out Committee is to identify learning technology tools and strategies that enhance the student learning and teaching experience. Other faculty and staff may “live” on the cutting-edge side of technology, but these faculty need a way they can share their insights and strategies with others. Therefore, another critical component of the committee is the free forum opportunity to share insights with colleagues.

Tech it Out Impact
With your continued support, Tech it Out has blossomed into a thriving collective. In the previous year, we successfully orchestrated seven Tech it Out events, which drew the participation of 121 faculty members and staff. This forum is perceived not merely as a one-time chance to acquire tech knowledge but a repeated opportunity throughout an academic year to join and regularly engage in our professional learning community. During the fiscal year 22-23, we noted that 25 faculty members attended two Tech it Out sessions, and sixteen showed even more enthusiasm, attending three or more sessions.
This indicates our growing professional learning community, and we warmly invite you to join our incredible group for the fiscal year 23-24. The schedule for the forthcoming academic year is now posted in Workday for you to register at your convenience. So, seize the day and sign up now!
Tech-it-Out Resources
Below are Tech-it-Out resources organized to specific resource types to help faculty craft student learning experiences that foster engagement, growth, and enhance learning.
Committee Mission
Each month, the committee will review learning technologies to support the work of faculty and students.
Faculty and staff are often busy, and it can be challenging to keep up with what is new on the technical side of things. Thus, the mission of the Tech-it-Out Committee is to identify learning technology tools and strategies that enhance the student learning and teaching experience. Other faculty and staff may “live” on the cutting-edge side of technology, but these faculty need a way they can share their insights and strategies with others. Therefore, another critical component of the committee is the free forum opportunity to share insights with colleagues.
