Tips for Using the Events Calendar
- Use the search bar/icon at the top to look for a topic, date or specific workshop.
- Click the List, Month, and Day buttons to the right of the search bar to change your view.
- In the calendar view, dates with multiple events will show a “More” button. Click on “more” to show all events.

Culturally Responsive Teaching Using Choice Boards (In-person at RV)

Choice Boards are common in differentiated classrooms serving diverse learners at the K-12 level; however, they can be a powerful tool in college courses serving students with diverse backgrounds, skill levels, interests, and learning preferences. When combined with Culturally Responsive Teaching practices, choice boards can engage students in the content and empower them to make thoughtful choices for how they process the material and demonstrate their learning. This workshop will showcase examples of choice boards created by MC faculty, address the role of data to develop choice boards that align with course outcomes, and present tips to ensure choice board tasks are equitable.
