Intercultural Conflict

MC is a highly diverse college operating in one of the most multicultural communities in the nation. Our students, faculty, and staff have different backgrounds and experiences, making our college campuses dynamic. While diversity is beautiful, handling differences under varying circumstances can create frustration or conflict that is difficult to recognize and manage. This potential for conflict increases when we work closely with diverse groups of people, as research shows that 75% of highly diverse teams are dysfunctional due to a lack of clarity of goals and accountability.
