Volume 1, Issue 1 | ELITE Digest | October 2021
Welcome to the latest edition of the ELITE Digest.
This month’s Digest features not only Multicultural Moments, Teaching Tip of the Month, Returning to Work: Tip of the Month, and a Personal is Pedagogical Faculty Showcase, but also highlights multiple professional development opportunities, including the launch of ELITE After Dark, MC Forward, and a monthly competition to win exclusive MC goodies!
ELITE After Dark offers you professional development programming around your busy schedule. Beginning this evening with Engaging Students through Digital Storytelling, ELITE After Dark provides some of our most popular workshops between the hours of 5 pm and 9 pm on the first Monday and Tuesday of each month.
MC Forward delivers a weekly leadership podcast hosted by Dr. Michael Mills focusing on MC individuals leading from where they are. We invite you to listen to the first two podcasts where Dr. Mills sits down with Mr. Ken Nelson and Dr. Kevin Long to discuss why leadership is hard, what makes a good leader, and the different characteristics of an effective leader, respectively. A new podcast will be released each Monday.
October means changing leaves, cooler temperatures, and of course, Halloween! In the spirit of the season, we are thrilled to begin a new monthly competition to share various treats with two lucky members of the MC community. To enter, all you have to do is:
1. complete this month’s ELITE Interactive Game (see below); and
2. send us a copy of your answers by 5 pm on Friday, October 8, 2021.
Winners will be selected at random and contacted via email on October 11, 2021. For an extra chance to win, “like” the October ELITE Digest post on the Montgomery Employees Facebook page by 5 pm on October 8, 2021.
Thank you for taking a moment to read this month’s Digest. ELITE remains steadfast in our commitment to transforming how MC provides you with high-quality professional development as we continue to evolve and transform in response to MC’s needs.
If you have any questions or feedback about our latest edition of the ELITE Digest, please let us know or contact us through the various ASK ELITE channels.
