WordPress (WP) Accessibility Day is a 24-hour global event dedicated to promoting & learning website accessibility best practices for WordPress websites.

September’s “Plus 1’s” challenge is for you to make a minor modification to your course that can significantly impact accessibility. 

Modification: Alternative Text for Images

What to Do: Add alternative text (often called “alt text”) to all images, diagrams, and graphs used in the course. This text should describe the image’s content or function.

Impact: This ensures that learners who use screen readers because of visual impairments can understand the content and context of the image.
