Social justice dominated College conversations, perspectives, and activities in 2017–2018. Students marched in Washington D.C. against gun violence and met with legislators in Annapolis to ask for support of College funding and support for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). During its first full year of Mobile Markets, the College distributed 125,000 pounds of food to more than 3,300 people on all three campuses. The Early College program launched, with the qualifying high school juniors and seniors attending MC full time beginning in fall 2018. Achieving the Promise Academy (ATPA) enrollment nearly doubled the number of students active in one on one coaching in the spring (259 students).
