While we continue on lock down, the magic of Zoom has allowed us to continue meeting. Today we had Philippa join us and lead a session on working with the Smithsonian Learning Lab. This is a wonderful resource that has only become more important as things have switched to a virtual environment.
It was wonderful to get together as a cohort again, and begin to really explore all the possibilities the Learning Lab offers to us. Philippa is a great guide- knowledgeable, encouraging, and full of ideas for ways the Fellows can integrate aspects of the Learning Lab into their classes. She left the group with a lot to think about, and with a promise to return in two weeks to continue working with us.
At this point, we don’t know if we are going to be able to visit the museums in the fall, or if we will still be homebound with seminars happening in virtual mode. Either way, this session went a long way to reassuring the group that their fellowship year is still going to be a valuable one.
