Soccer is the Glue to Friendships at MC

Recently I found out that the Montgomery College Germantown campus had a Soccer club that just meets up and plays for fun. I thought it was a great idea considering how much there was a love for the sport all throughout MC.

Although I wasn’t much of a person myself to go play soccer. Especially since the last time I played was when I was in the 5th grade. I got kicked in the stomach with a soccer ball playing with a bunch of boys and that just gave me a fear of playing soccer I could never really get over. On the other hand, my boyfriend is the biggest soccer enthusiast I’ve ever met, so of course he went running for the chance to be able to play with like-minded people.

The first day he came back, he had nothing but glorious things to say about the group of people he’d just met. Soon after we got invited to hang out with them for a night of bowling. As you expected, it was a group of people all in love with the sport. But also, it was a group of people who came from different parts of the world all sharing the love for this one sport they all played in their home country.

Now, I have the chance to play it at MC. A sport that was the glue to the start of beautiful friendships. They all came from different backgrounds but the one thing we all shared was that we wanted to work hard and take advantage of the opportunities that were given to us at MC.
