Karl talks with Anna and Kayla about their experience with MC voices and why you should join.

Karl Meyer

I am 22 years old and have been attending Montgomery College for two years now with one semester left to go before I graduate. I’ve lived in the Rockville area for 8 years and before that, another 7 years St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Before that I lived in Austria and Australia, the place of my birth.

My major is Information Systems. It used to be Computer Science, but it turned out I’m awful at math, so I switched over to something still in the general field of computing and less math intensive.

I’ve been interested in the production of entertainment as a hobby for going on 8 years now. During this time, I’ve learned a lot about what exactly I want to do in this medium. Now, after all this time observing, I can finally put everything I’ve learned to work to create some really great content for you. I hope you join me and have as much fun watching my content as I did making it.

  1. Karl, first thank you very much for the positive words regarding my program. It’s always nice to get appreciated for your work and positive feedback! I am also glad to know you enjoyed making vlogs and many thanks for posting each and every week. I had no idea how much work it is – time wise. Originally I asked for videos to be between 2-3 minutes long, perhaps erroneously thinking shorter video meant easier for the vloggers (and for the reason you pointed out – short attention spans!), but it sounds like it may be mean even more time/editing to get it down to a proper time frame. I think Kaila to made an excellent point to have your idea in mind and your topic points. Bravo to all the vloggers. We’ll miss you next semester…..and I love the pug dog Christmas sweaters! Happy holidays!

  2. THIS WAS AWESOME TO FILM AND WATCH! I’m very impressed with the way you edited it! I can’t imagine how long this video took you!!!! It was a pleasure to shoot with you. You had very good questions and I hope those who end up vlogging can definitely take these ideas into consideration!

    1. Thanks! It did take a while but I think it turned out pretty good. I couldn’t have done it without you. Thanks for your help.

  3. Thank you for all of your fantastic vlogs Karl! It was a pleasure to watch them and I wish you the best in your future endeavors. We hope you keep in touch with MC!
