It seems as though Friday is EVERYONE’s favorite day of the week. We always hear people say (or find ourselves saying it) “Thank God it’s Friday!” with a big sigh of relief. I mean, who doesn’t look forward to the weekend, right? Whether you are taking classes or are working today, knowing that what you’ll wake up to the next day is the weekend, you can’t help but daydream a little bit about it. I recently found an interesting video on YouTube that briefly talks about the psychological reasons why people love the weekends. (YouTube link below)

Fridays are inspirational for me as well, which is why I always pick this day to blog!

And while we’re at it, if you are a Montgomery College student and you want to know what events are happening here at the College, you may want to click on the link below– it is the school Events Calendar and it shows weekly/monthly schedules of events that we can attend and benefit from. Trust me, I didn’t know the school had a full schedule and operates all week long until I looked at this.

And now that midterms have passed and we’re all in the mood for fall and winter festivities, we can rest assured that this semester will be a good one– regardless of the stresses that comes along with it. Next week is Halloween and in a few weeks it will be Thanksgiving week, and then it’s Finals week, and then finally Christmas! I look forward to these things, but for now I hope you enjoy your Friday and may your weekend be filled with peace and love!

Always,

Ray Ann V.

Ray Ann

My name is Ray Ann. I grew up wanting to be a lot of things. Being a lot older now, I realize you never really grow out of those dreams.

I’m 23 years old, barely 5 ft. tall and often mistaken as a high school student. But you know what they say — good things come in small packages. Despite me being a little vertically challenged, I’m a huge basketball fan. I love fast cars and fast…food. I love the color pink and my friends’ sense of humor. I aspire to be the realistic half of my favorite female fiction characters: to be bold and fearless like Nikita, witty, intelligent and fashionable like Blair Waldorf and sweet and sassy like Cher Horowitz.

Being a blogger means a lot of things. We write about anything and everything, including our own lives. We can choose to be private or be an open book. But I hope to share only meaningful and helpful things to anyone who reads my blogs. Montgomery College will always be a big part of my life as it gave me an opportunity to find myself and discover the things I love and gave me all the more reason to be myself.

Let’s believe in each other.
