https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xOA7dKSThWY Hey! Welcome to my fourth entry at MC Voices, today I will be showing…
We are in our last week of the semester. Where has the time gone?
If you are like me, the sheer panic of finals has already hit. So instead of thinking about all the tests coming up, I thought I would share some highlights I had this semester at MC:
- Experiencing Rockville Campus. For the past 3 years I have been at MC, I have either taken classes online or at the Germantown Campus. So this year when I went to Rockville I was a bit hesitant, but to my surprise I thoroughly enjoyed the Rockville campus. Being at the Germantown campus, it sometimes can still feel like I am at high school. But when I am at the Rockville campus, which has more buildings and people, you get more of the college feel. However, the parking at Rockville is still horrible.
- Making new friends. For the past few semesters I was pretty sick and never came out of my shell to socialize; that all changed this semester though. My Biology class feels like a little family. We have inside jokes, chat all the time and really got to know one another. I am going to miss my little Biology 101 family!
- Taking advantage of MC fully. Even though I have been going here for 3 years, off and on, I have learned so much about what MC has to offer this year. I got to go listen to an amazing talk about the immigrant children being held in detention centers thanks to the Humanities department. Every once in a while we got free ice cream or other snacks at the Rockville campus (I am still not sure why but thank you!). I also learned about the Co-op internship program through MC which I will be taking advantage of next semester.
This past semester has been my best yet at MC! I finally feel like I am getting this whole college thing down. I can’t wait to see what next semester brings!
Okay, now back to studying for finals but here are some cute picture of puppies to get us all through!
See you next semester!
