…so week number 4 in the semester? So far so good. This week I was able to conquer two exams and some essays, and I honestly feel good. But without coffee, this would not be possible. With endless hours staying up to complete online quizzes, drafts, and endless studying, all my energy has been gone. But, the weekend is coming up and I can already hear my bed calling me.
While browsing this week on my LinkedIn account, I stumbled upon an article that I thought captures the essence of community college. So of course, I had to share it:

Blu, thanks for sharing the link. I read it – twice – and I thought about the message. IMO, the greatest stigma community college has is the belief that it is for those who “cannot”. Cannot afford, cannot excel, cannot compete. It is interesting to me that many of the foreign students want to live at home and want to save their parents money; they see absolutely no reason NOT to come to MC. One of the greatest obstacles is that MC is located in one of the wealthiest counties in the country, and In many cases, the parents have been saving for years on end to provide that experience. The parents themselves want their kids to go to the best 4 year schools. Often, extremely competitive parents in this county, who themselves have fancy degrees and highly paid professions, may be at the root of some of this image problem. What do YOU think would alleviate this divide?
