Time to get real this week, MC. Do you find it hard to meet people and make friends? I get that vibe around campus. I wanted to discuss that with you all. Let me know what you think.  Have you experienced this feeling or do you disagree with what I said.

If you would like to go to Club Rush this week, it’s going to be in the main arena in Theatre Arts in the center of the Rockville campus, from 12 – 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20. I’ll be there, so come say hi at the Advocate table!

Hi, I'm Anna, and I love running, writing, and video games. Besides vlogging for MC Voices, I also write for the MC Advocate, the Rockville student newspaper.

  1. Important post Anna! This is the biggest complaint among MC students. Apparently, the average age is 26, I believe. That means many are working and probably going part time, online, etc. However, a substantial number came from high school, so there are many younger students as well. I agree community college makes it more difficult because you don’t live on campus, but I also agree with you that you have to take it into your own hands. Joining clubs is a great way. Maybe a “no phone zone” club is an idea – get together for board games or puzzles or something vintage that gets people to talk and laugh.

    1. That’s great! Whether people admit it or not in this digital age, board games and togetherness is still popular – we’re human!
