We’ve all heard the phrase new year, new me. Well, here are a few tips that I’ve done this past year that have completely revolutionized my academic and personal life!
- Get a planner and keep a to-do list. Together they work like gold to keep you organized while also making sure you complete the tasks and assignments you need to do!
- Physical exercise – some people dread anything to do with physical movement. But trust me, the benefits of even just going on a walk are tremendous to your health, both mentally and physically. Try going to the gym for strength training. Is that not your thing? There are sports everywhere around campus such as volleyball and soccer. Not a social butterfly? Try going on local hikes, you can get a good workout in, plus get some fresh air Some days with the hustle and bustle of life, that’s all you need.
- Don’t forget to eat! I’m personally guilty of skipping meals. Whether it’s because I’ve forgotten to eat or I’ve just been too tired to make something myself when I get home. Then I ask myself why I feel so sleepy at only 4 p.m. Meal prepping saved me so much time and energy! Things like overnight oats are my go to foodies in the morning, topped with fruits (I recommend blueberries) that kept me a happy girl for hours.
- Clean your room! When I was younger my mom would tell me, your room reflects your mind. I thought she was kidding until I started cleaning my room more often. I noticed that I was able to feel more relaxed in my room while studying and working on projects! Sometimes moms do know what is best.
