https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xOA7dKSThWY Hey! Welcome to my fourth entry at MC Voices, today I will be showing…
Being a college student requires a lot; time, money, effort, dedication, just to name a few. Every little inconveniences might add to our already stressful life. Knowing where and how to find things can really help us not only save time, but also save us from making a lot of mistakes… and unnecessary steps.
Montgomery College offers so many tools to help its students succeed. From doing online research to finding places to print, the college provides all these resources for our convenience.
1.) For research purposes:
If you’re already a student at MC and have written at least one research paper, you may have already heard your professor mention about the MC Library Catalog (link below). Looking for an article? A journal report? You’re in luck because the school lets you access these journals for free (most websites charge to allow access, so this is one thing we can take advantage of)! The school website itself offers substantial information about the college and the many different programs students can benefit from.

2.) Volunteer Opportunities
Like to help people in your free time? Need to complete service learning hours for a class? Or maybe you want learn a new skill without having to pay extra money? Montgomery College can help direct students to organizations they are interested in. There’s always options here.

3.) Printing
WEPA printing stations are available at the library as well as the computer lab. You have the option of paying with credit card or a WEPA card. WEPA cards can be purchased at the bookstore.
4.) School Spirit
The bookstore not only sells books, electronics and snacks, they also have a variety of clothing available for purchase: hoodies, t-shirts, shorts, pants, they have it all!
Take advantage of the resources the college offers to make your time at MC more meaningful and a learning experience. There’s so much you can find if you intently look around.
Fall is here, the weather will slowly turn colder and some things won’t stay the same, but hang on in there… there’s so much more to look forward to.
Thanks for pointing out these resources MC has to offer students. Often, great resources are overlooked because nobody knows about them. This is super help to many students, especially the first one. I don’t know if student service hours must be MC related however, VisArts in Rockville Town Center gives high school students SSL hours. Volunteerism is only 2 hour intervals and I see many students bring their reading at the same time.
