https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xOA7dKSThWY Hey! Welcome to my fourth entry at MC Voices, today I will be showing…
Imagine this, a new year and new classes. I was excited to start the new year and had a brand new attitude that matched my lunchbox. You know, the one that was black and had “please don’t Kale my vibe” typed across the front. Wide eyed and cheery I set course for the first day and was honestly taken aback. My classes needed to be dropped, there were unorganized syllabi abundant and my teacher completely jumped into our first lecture without so much as a hello. (These are all exaggerations, I promise!)
Needless to say, the first day was rough. And so was the next week. And even the week after that. I say all this to say school is frustrating, challenging, and… weirdly enough rewarding! Freshman do not be alarmed. It isn’t all about challenging courses and running back and forth across campus. You make friends, get a job, enjoy your classes and get freedom! Sweet freedom!
College is your chance to get involved, meet new people and evolve! It doesn’t happen overnight, doesn’t even happen after a month but with effort and dedication you really do see a change! If you’re having second thoughts about finishing the semester, getting your degree or even starting, this is your sign. Give it a shot! You can do this, and I believe in you!
It’s a new year and even a new semester! Give it a shot!
You are right Kayla – “College is your chance to get involved, meet new people and evolve!” Good luck with the fall semester!
Thank you for the kind words, I look forward to sharing more of my journey!
