https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xOA7dKSThWY Hey! Welcome to my fourth entry at MC Voices, today I will be showing…
Afrikaans word of the week: Eish (aysh): General exclamation that can be used in positive and negative contexts.
What is the truth really? Some might say that it is a fact or belief that has come to be true. Others might say that it is what society says is true. It can hurt you and it can set you free but how far are you willing to go to protect what you believe in? In a small town in Norway, Dr. Thomas Stockman has come to believe that the water of the town has been contaminated. With the mayor on his back trying to persuade him to look the other way and the town’s people threatening his family’s life, he has to make the choice. Will he sweep the truth under the rug or is he willing to lose everything for it?
An Enemy of the People is a play that deals with society and class, principles, wealth, politics, pride, hypocrisy and power. It is a drama with a hint of comedy. It’s the life of an everyday family in an average town with laughter, tears, hope and fear. Please come out and support the hardworking cast and crew of MC and support the Theater Department.
