https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xOA7dKSThWY Hey! Welcome to my fourth entry at MC Voices, today I will be showing…
Happy Thanksgiving, Raptors! I hope this will be a time for you to reflect on the past and think about the positive things that have inspired you and kept you going to be where you are now! We’re about 3 weeks away from finals week, and I hope we keep our diligence and strive to finish strong. In honor of Thanksgiving Day, I wrote a little poem and I hope it makes you think about things you’re thankful for.
Thankful for the things that still shine
Thankful for things that rusted over time,
Thankful for the good
As well as the bad,
Thankful for memories that still make me smile.
In every season there is a lesson
First I learned to crawl,
Then I learned how to fly
I’m thankful for rainbow after the rain,
And for wisdom that I can gain.
Thankful for the car I drive
I’m thankful for chicken and fries,
I’m thankful that I have a warm bed for a cold winter night
I’m thankful that I have a place I call Home,
And thoughts and ideas I call my own.
I’m thankful that this heart has kindness to give
I’m thankful for every second that’s given to me,
I’m thankful for second chances and open doors
And most importantly,
I’m thankful for people that make life worthwhile.
It’s amazing to see how similar we are both thankful for. I am thankful for meeting you, even though we do not see each other often (besides that one time by the library) you are such a talented blogger and it’s great to work with someone like you. You definitely make an impact to others even though they don’t say it. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and keep up the blogs!
That is so great to hear, Kaila! Thank you so much for the sweet, encouraging words. I know that you are going places because you’re super talented and you are intelligent. Happy thanksgiving to you too and enjoy the short break!
Ray Ann, I love your poem! You are very talented. This would also make a lovely Thanksgiving grace. It’s always good to step aside and reflect once in awhile; we get so caught up in the day to day.
I’m thankful I have a wonderful blogger like you! Have a fabulous Thanksgiving week! And yes, always check the bakery’s spelling! I got one of those once 🙂
Thank you so much, Jane! I’m so thankful we have a very supportive supervisor like yourself. I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving 🙂 and may we never get misspelled words on our cakes again!
Kaila, I hope I can change that – not seeing the other bloggers that is. I will keep you updated and will try to make a get together happen soon.
