“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band

Modern selections by Jessie Montgomery, Jenni Brandon, and Libby Larsen are paired with a second half including Vaclav Nelhybel’s Ludus for Three Tubas. Paul Juon’s Trio-Miniaturen, Opp. 18a, 24 and Bohuslav Martinů’s Suite from La Revue de Cuisine round out the program. Hear a wide variety of different composers and ensembles showcasing the immense talents and versatility of the musicians of “The President’s Own.” From music about moonshiners to images of the daily lives of kitchen utensils, this wide-ranging program will stimulate the listener’s imagination.
