Get ready for an unforgettable day of music, creativity, and inspiration as the Arts Institute and Montgomery College presents the Mid Maryland Guitar  Festival on Saturday, September 28th, at the Cultural Arts Center, Montgomery College, Takoma Park! This exciting event is packed with everything a guitar enthusiast could dream of: hands-on masterclasses, dynamic interactive lectures, an immersive guitar-building expo, and a chance to showcase your talent at the open mic.

Best of all, all daytime events are free for everyone to join in!

The festival builds to an electrifying finale with a stunning evening concert featuring Washington DC favorite Colin Davin performing Rodrigo’s “Fantasia para un gentilhombre” and Scott Borg taking on the legendary “Concerto de Aranjuez,” all under the masterful direction of Pablo Saelzar. The night kicks off with a powerful performance by the Loudoun Youth Guitars, conducted by Dr. Miroslav Loncar.

It’s been several decades since there was a night of guitar concertos like this, so don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience it!
