The Mini-Nut is MYB’s abbreviated version of The Nutcracker geared towards younger audiences. This 50-minute abbreviated version is a great introduction to ballet for our younger theatre goers. The performance is less than one hour long with no intermission. A perfect holiday mini-treat!
Join us for a special sensory-friendly performance of the Mini Nut! This unique holiday experience is designed for adults and children of all abilities, including individuals with sensory sensitivities, autism, and neurodiverse learning needs. We are creating a welcoming environment with adjusted sound and lighting, as well as an introduction to the ballet characters to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Celebrate the magic of the holiday season with a performance that embraces diversity and accessibility for all, making this timeless ballet a joyful and inclusive event for the entire community. All are welcome!
- House lights will stay up with no flashing or strobe lights.
- Sound volume will be lower and any potential loud noises from the stage will be restricted.
- Audience may leave and return to their seats.
- Audience may talk during the performance.
- Fidget objects, noise-reducing headphones, and other sensory tools or devices are allowed inside the theater during the performance.
- Wheelchair accessible seating is available but must be reserved in advance.

Mini Nut tickets are being sold through the Montgomery College Cultural Arts Center’s Box Office. You should contact them directly at: mcculturalartscenter@gmail.com. They will respond to ticketing questions within 24 hours. The box office phone is answered 2 hours prior to curtain.
Children under 2 years of age may sit on the lap of a paying adult. Otherwise, all patrons must have a ticket and a seat of their own.
