Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus Projects Updates – September 9, 2022

• Piping Installation: Piping installation is complete, and topsoil has been replaced. The ground will be seeded and mulched at the end of the project.
• Rooftop Work: Ductwork and rooftop materials installation will continue.
• Deliveries: Small deliveries are expected from Chicago Avenue, inside the project site’s gate. 
• Saturday Work: Henley Construction will conduct interior work on Saturday, September 10, and Saturday, September 17. All work will follow the requirements of the noise ordinance.

• Deliveries: Materials are being delivered on site for use within the structure. All trucks are required to follow designated routes to and from the site and must enter and exit on Fenton Street from Philadelphia.
  
• Interior Work: Work on the interior of the of the building continues to advance.
• Masonry: Concrete masonry is being placed in preparation for brick installation.

• Utility Location: An electrical line location will be completed next week. A Tristate Electric pickup truck will be parked in front of the Resource Center on New York Avenue for several hours. A worker will use equipment attached to the truck to detect where the electrical lines are located on Montgomery College property. No noise of significance is expected from this work.
