Leggett Building—Construction

  • Trailer Removal: The removal of the 2-story construction trailer inside the site near the Takoma Avenue fence line will begin on Wednesday, September 6. Once disassembled, the pieces will be loaded onto trucks and removed from the site through the Fenton Street construction entrance, going north on Fenton Street. The removal process is expected to be complete by Friday, September 8.

  • Fenton Street Work: The creation of the new entrance to the building from Fenton Street is progressing. When necessary, one lane will be closed on Fenton Street in front of the work area. Traffic control measures will be implemented to direct traffic
  • Deliveries: As previously updated, materials are being delivered on-site for use within the structure. All trucks are required to follow designated routes to and from the site and must enter and exit on Fenton Street from Philadelphia.
  • Holiday Updates: The jobsite will be closed on Monday, September 4, in observance of Labor Day. Additional security will be present on site.

Library/Resource Center—Renovation

  • Main Entrance: Excavation is continuing for the new entryway to the Library/Resource Center. Noise will be minimal (expected to be close to the sound of a lawnmower) but consistent as this work progresses.
  • Exterior Work: The masonry repair work and the installation of exterior framework for the new façade are nearing completion. All work will be in compliance with noise ordinances.
  • Interior Work: Additional work on the interior of the building is advancing.
