Leggett Building Project Activity Update – September 24, 2021

Dear Neighbors,

Thank you for your interest in the Leggett Building construction project at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. We will strive to keep our neighbors informed about significant construction events with this weekly email notification.

Upcoming activities are listed below:

• Earthwork
  Cut and fill excavation for the new building footprint is nearing completion, including excavation and grading of the site. The removal of the materials from excavation is nearing completion. The number of vehicles related to hauling off materials is expected to decrease in number as this work is completed.
• Concrete
  Mobilization of concrete equipment continues, including forming the structures that will support concrete work and reinforcing bar delivery and placement. Material delivery vehicles are expected to be able to maneuver and be managed within the site, and they will enter and exit on Fenton Street from Philadelphia.
