Leggett Building Project Activity Update – March 11, 2022

Dear Neighbors,

Thank you for your interest in the Leggett Building construction project at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. We will strive to keep our neighbors informed about significant construction events with this weekly email notification.

Upcoming activities are listed below:

• Steel
  Smaller steel components are continuing to be delivered on flatbed trucks, with all major steel deliveries already completed. The large crane used to support steel erection has been removed from the site. All trucks are required to follow designated routes to and from the site and must enter and exit on Fenton Street from Philadelphia.
• Concrete Operations Changes
  The placing and finishing of concrete floor slabs within the steel structure is continuing. This work is heavily weather dependent and will occur when conditions are optimal. Learn more about the current concrete process and changes to site operations on our website.
• Hauling Materials
  Soil is continuing to be removed and replaced from the site when necessary.
