Leggett Building Project Activity Update – January 28, 2022

Dear Neighbors,

Thank you for your interest in the Leggett Building construction project at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. We will strive to keep our neighbors informed about significant construction events with this weekly email notification.

Upcoming activities are listed below:

• Steel
  Deliveries of steel materials are continuing for the erection of steel columns and beams. All trucks are required to follow designated routes to and from the site and must enter and exit on Fenton Street from Philadelphia.
• Concrete
  The installation of concrete floor slabs is progressing and the deliveries of concrete are continuing.
• Hauling Materials
  Soil is being removed from the site and replaced as needed.
• Spring Semester Operations
  Students are back on campus this semester for face-to-face classes. All employees and students must be vaccinated or obtain an exemption from this requirement and test regularly.
