Dear Neighbors,

Thank you for your interest in the Leggett Building construction project at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. We will strive to keep our neighbors informed about significant construction events with this weekly email notification.

Upcoming activities are listed below:

    • Concrete Operations
      All of the large and complex concrete pours have been completed and only small pours remain. All remaining pours will take place during regular work hours beginning at the standard 7 a.m. and concluding in the later afternoon. We greatly appreciate your patience during this phase of the project.
    • Hauling Materials
      Soil continues to be replaced and removed from the site as necessary.
    • Deliveries
      Deliveries of materials are continuing to be received for installation within the structure.
    • Truck Traffic
      All trucks are required to follow designated routes to and from the site and must enter and exit on Fenton Street from Philadelphia.
    • Progress Update
      There has been significant progress made on the Leggett Building construction to date, including several key milestones such as the completion of the steel structure and concrete pours.     • Library Renovation Community Meeting
      Please join us Tuesday, May 31, for the first community meeting regarding the upcoming Library/Resource Center renovation and the rooftop unit replacements for Pavilions 1 &2. We will be providing important information on the scope of the project and will capture all questions and feedback. Please register here.
    • Holiday Updates
      The jobsite will be closed on Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day. There will be no work on the site during that day. A security guard will be posted to the project site during the holiday weekend.
