Leggett Building Project Activity Update – May 28, 2021

Dear Neighbors,

Thank you for your interest in the Leggett Building construction project at the Takoma Park/Silver Spring Campus. We will strive to keep our neighbors informed about significant construction events with this weekly email notification.

Upcoming events are listed below:

• Demolition
  Demolition of the tennis court retaining wall has been completed. Removal of bushes and permitted trees above the tennis court retaining wall is also complete.
• Site Utilities
  Work continues to progress on the east side of the job site, moving towards the north side of the project for the sanitary piping and structure installation, concurrent with the ongoing storm drain work. These activities include the use of dumpsters for material removal.
• Earthwork
  Dewatering well drilling in nearing completion and will likely finish next week. The earthwork equipment has been mobilized and site grading will continue. Mobilization of additional earthwork equipment will take place over the next few weeks.
• Project Schedule
  No work will occur on Monday, May 31, in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable long weekend!
