Andrea JohnsAndrea has spent the last 10 years working with underrepresented students to help them reach their educational and career goals.  She began her career providing program support to community youth seeking to attain their GED and gain workforce training.  She most recently served as Placement and Learning Advisor at Montgomery College instructing a career development course and providing students with career guidance and helping them to overcome barriers to success.

Andrea earned a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Norfolk State University and a master of education from the University of Georgia.  Andrea is a current member of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and a previous member of National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and is also a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).  She is certified to administer the Strong Interest Inventory and MBTI personality assessments.
