Pro Musica of Washington Adventist University

The Pro Musica of Washington Adventist University of Takoma Park, Maryland, will present a concert of largely classical music-both sacred and secular-as well as spirituals and folk song arrangements. Featured works will be the “Magnificat” by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi and “Dark Night of the Soul” by the contemporary Norwegian composer, Ola Gjeilo, both of which will be supported with a string quartet. This choir has traveled extensively, nationally and internationally over the past 21 years, and has just returned from an extended tour of Australia and Texas. It also has a number of recordings to its credit, the latest release: “Lamentations, Music of Tenebrae.”
