Creating Accessible Documents and Presentations (For Faculty)

November 1 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

In this session, we’ll explore the principles of creating accessible documents, presentations, and other course materials that are easy to read and navigate for all students, including those with disabilities. Through hands-on activities and collaborative discussions, you’ll learn how to identify and correct accessibility issues across various types of content. This session will provide practical steps and tools to ensure that your materials not only meet accessibility standards but also enhance the overall learning experience for your students. Join us to improve your design practices, make your teaching more effective, and contribute to better student outcomes and engagement.

Learning Outcomes: Identify and evaluate accessibility issues in existing course documents and presentations, offering specific recommendations for improvement. Apply accessibility features and tools to create or revise a course document or presentation, ensuring it is usable by all students. Collaborate with peers to share feedback and refine your approach to accessible design, enhancing your skills in a supportive environment.
