Thinking Through Dilemmas: Guiding Students in Ethical and Civic Reasoning (In-person at TPSS)
In this one-hour workshop, faculty will explore how to teach students ethical reasoning skills and help them navigate moral and civic dilemmas within their discipline. Participants will examine strategies for guiding students through complex issues, fostering critical reflection, and encouraging respectful dialogue. The session will highlight examples of discipline-specific ethical challenges and offer time for faculty to design or adapt an assignment or activity that supports ethical reasoning. By the end of the workshop, participants will have practical approaches to help students develop stronger moral judgment and civic responsibility. This workshop is valuable for faculty in all teaching modalities and disciplines.
