My name is Malia Finney, and I am a proud student at Montgomery College, where I am dual majoring in Behavioral Science and Radiologic (Sonography). Education has always been a driving force in my life, and I am deeply committed to building a career that allows me to help others, provide for my family, and continue growing both personally and professionally.
As a mother of two wonderful children, I understand the importance of perseverance, balance, and motivation. My children inspire me to keep pushing toward my goals and remind me why investing in my education is so important. Through my studies in Behavioral Science, I’ve developed a passion for understanding how people think, feel, and interact. At the same time, my pursuit of Radiologic Sonography reflects my interest in healthcare, technology, and the ability to make a direct difference in patients’ lives.
Outside of school and parenting, I make it a priority to practice self-care and ensure that I’m taking time to nurture my own well-being. Whether that means journaling, enjoying quiet moments, or finding ways to relax and recharge, I believe self-care is essential for maintaining focus, mental health, and motivation. Balancing school, motherhood, and personal wellness has taught me the importance of discipline, patience, and self-love.
Looking ahead, I hope to combine my academic background with my personal experiences to create a meaningful career that not only supports my family but also allows me to serve my community. I am proud of the journey I’m on and excited to see how my education at Montgomery College will continue to shape the person and professional I’m becoming
