My name is Ryan Jones, but most people know me as Coach Jones.
I grew up in PG County and elsewhere in the DMV and attended Bethesda/Chevy Chase High School. I planned on attending MC after graduating in order to play in the lacrosse program here. Unfortunately, the lacrosse program was cancelled, and my plans did not go as I anticipated.
In Fall 2023, I finally enrolled in MC after a long and varied career, primarily in the lacrosse world. My passion is for bridging the socio-economic and color gap in the world of lacrosse. I have established lacrosse teams at various HBCU’s and have worked with the Professional Lacrosse League in hosting events for HBCU’s and underprivileged youth.
At MC, I am majoring in Communications and hope to apply the skills learned there to continue my work in the lacrosse world. I hope to extend my work of bridging socio-economic, color, and political gaps through bringing communities together via television, video, and journalism.
