“Opportunities don’t just appear—you create them.” That mindset has shaped the way I approach school, work, and leadership. When I first heard about the Raptor Reps program, I knew it was the perfect chance to grow, connect, and represent Montgomery College in a meaningful way.

My name is Kenia Ramirez, and I’m a second-year business student at Montgomery College. I was born and raised in Maryland, and my studies have given me the chance to explore not only the technical side of business but also the importance of leadership and community. I currently serve as President of my campus’ Phi Theta Kappa chapter, and I’ve been involved in various leadership roles on campus, including the Business Club and Renaissance Scholars. Being part of these programs has allowed me to build strong connections with students, faculty, and the larger community while continuing to challenge myself.

Outside of academics, I love staying active by running and exploring new places through travel. I also enjoy listening to music and spending time by the water with my family, which helps me recharge and stay inspired. At heart, I’m a very creative person, and I love finding ways to express that creativity in everything I do. These passions remind me to stay disciplined, adventurous, and open to new perspectives. I aspire to become a professional businesswoman, combining my education and experiences to create meaningful opportunities for myself and others.

Through Raptor Reps, I hope to share my Montgomery College journey with authenticity, encourage other students to take advantage of opportunities, and showcase the vibrant community that has shaped who I am today. Thanks for being here and for letting me share a bit about myself!
