omobolanle fakunleIf I got paid every time someone said I was “doing a lot” or “way ahead for my age,” I’d probably be on Forbes by now. My name is Omobolanle Fakunle, but most people just call me Bamby. I’m a General Studies STEM major with plans to go into Nursing in the future.

As a Raptor Rep, I get to channel my energy into welcoming new students and making sure everyone knows about the opportunities MC has to offer. Whether it’s Club Rush, Heritage Month celebrations, or other campus activities, I love being part of the events that make our community vibrant. I’m also involved in SGA, where I work with other leaders to support students and keep school spirit alive.

Outside the classroom, I’m probably in the kitchen cooking something new, at church helping with toddlers, or finding creative ways to laugh and make memories. Being Nigerian and Yoruba is an important part of who I am, and I enjoy sharing that culture and joy with the people around me.

What excites me most about being a Raptor Rep is the chance to connect with students, whether they need directions, encouragement, or just someone to hype them up. If you ever spot me on campus, don’t be shy! Come say hi, I’ll be ready with a smile, support, and maybe even a joke to brighten your day.
