We are into the nitty-gritty proofing for Issue 46. We’ve got some great authors in the upcoming issue: two Best American Poetry recipients, a short story writer whose book is being published by Simon & Schuster, a great local poet who teaches at the Writer’s Center and George Washington University, F.Scott Fitzgerald Short Story Contest winner (judged by Gargoyle and Paycock Press Richard Peabody), and our own Potomac Review Short Story Contest winner (judged by Alix Ohlin, author of Babylon).

While you have ample summer time, keep checking out our blog and join us on Facebook! Or Twitter! Well not twitter, not yet. We like being long-winded.

Also, look for our ad on for the Poetry Contest in The Writer’s Chronicle. Well, that buried the lead: get your poems ready for our annual Poetry contest. This time with more money, more prizes, and a few guest appearances by Leonard Nimoy!

Enjoy the few summer days before the humidity envelopes our nation’s capitol.
