https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xOA7dKSThWY Hey! Welcome to my fourth entry at MC Voices, today I will be showing…
I’m back!
I am so excited to be partaking in my third (and final) semester as a student blogger here at MC. This is my last semester here at MC, so I am going to be sharing my journey to graduation—and beyond—with all of you!
This semester, I will be solely at the Rockville campus. Last year, I had one class in Rockville (and I only ever went into that building and nowhere else) and the rest of my time at MC has been spent at the Germantown campus. So, spending 7 hours in an unfamiliar place has been pretty daunting. To ensure this semester was another success, I took the time to get to know my new campus.
First thing I learned is that the Rockville campus is huge compared to the Germantown campus—there are twenty buildings at Rockville and only eight at Germantown. You can also take a virtual tour here.
Before the school year started, I downloaded the campus map and found where my classes are being held. Then, I looked for some other key places that may come in handy.
On the Rockville campus, the Library can be found in the Gordon and Marilyn Macklin Tower, or MT building. This place is amazing! There are computers and work tables everywhere—it’s a great place to get together to work with classmates. You can also work in the Science Center building, SC, and you can check out the new dinosaur skeleton too!
The Student Services building, or SV, is where you can find assistance with registration and financial aid. There are also a ton of beautiful places to sit and work outside that I am loving!
Now, perhaps the most important building on campus is the Campus Center, or CC. This is where you can find the cafeteria, bookstore, coffee shop, and much more!
The beginning of the semester can always be a bit scary, and starting somewhere unfamiliar can be extra scary. Hopefully, these little tips will help you start the semester off right at the MC Rockville campus.
Where are your favorite places to go on the Rockville Campus?
Good tips! I like spending time in the library and the Science Center.
They are both pretty awesome places 🙂
