https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xOA7dKSThWY Hey! Welcome to my fourth entry at MC Voices, today I will be showing…
Day 18. Bunked out during Strength & Conditioning due to the fast. Not exactly sure where I went wrong – sleep, fat content of the prior day’s intake, or not having a sub-50 cal portion of bone broth beforehand- but I dared not risk going through it again and wasting a potential brick in the wall. First things first. Training is reason for all the experimentation in the first place. I have a hard enough time with body comp – in fighting shape, I still kind of looked like one of the MIB worm dudes! But the shins, oh the shins were rock solid.
Anyway, gearing up for a vital Anatomy & Physiology exam on Wednesday, taking Pomodoro breaks to learn the bassline to Under the Bridge and fixing my eyesight little by little by cupping and one-eyed focus exercises (The Bates Method), I realized just how busy I’ve been making myself when I remembered mid-lick that I haven’t logged the steps I need to in order to win the Battle of the Campuses Walking Challenge. Here I was, asking you all to join the fight, trying to be clever with the team name, and not putting in the actual work. I apologize sincerely. I would be dishonest and betraying my view of myself as a maniac with integrity if I didn’t share this otherwise private shortcoming with you all. That’s the point of this though, I think. To grow before your very eyes, like the coffee line at Rockville 😉 Like that line, it’s both challenging and absolutely necessary. Those folks move fast though, seriously. Well-oiled machine.
Let me tell you, I’m studying one of the most marvelous machines known to us – the bod- so I know one when I see one. I will say, after taking a couple of days of high-carb fueling, I’ve needed coffee a little more. Not sure how it correlates, but it is worth noting. I can’t provide nearly as much information as I’d like to, so I would like to let anyone who is interested know about this awesome podcast. I would love to have an open dialogue on this and related subject with any of you. Nutrition, unconventional training methods and other (healthy) self-torture, or even …flat-earth theories!?!?!? You know, a well-rounded conversation 😉 Takoma Park is open Sundays for study groups – tweed jackets with suede elbow pads not required.
