https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xOA7dKSThWY Hey! Welcome to my fourth entry at MC Voices, today I will be showing…
Next Tuesday, November 6th, is Election Day. For many MC students, this may be the first time you are voting! Since we do not get school off for Election Day, I highly recommend early voting.
Early voting opened around the country last Thursday. You can find a list of all the early voting places and wait times here. Early Voting is open until tomorrow, Thursday November 1st, at 8 p.m.
When you arrive, make sure all your electronic devices are turned off. Then they will ask for your name, address and birthday (maybe your ID too so make sure you have that). Then you will receive your ballot and you can cast your votes! In total, it took me 10 minutes to do.
Make sure you have an idea of who you want to vote for before you go in. If you are unsure who is running in Maryland, you can find out here and if you are unsure who is running in your local elections, you can find out here, as well. And for any other info on voting check out the full Montgomery County Board of Elections page.
Voting is a privilege. Many people do not get to vote and have a say in what goes on in there world. So the fact that you do, should not be belittled. No matter what you think about our world at the moment, your vote matters. Even if what you are voting on may not directly affect you, it may affect your peers. You have the power to make a change, not only for yourself, but for your family, friends and country.
So get out there and vote! Grab your family and friends and have them vote too! And when you do, make sure you tag us and #RaptorsVote so we can celebrate your victory with you!
