Hey Raptors, Autumn is here with midterms right around the corner. =/ yikes. I can’t speak for everyone but I can tell you that I am feeling the pressure. It’s that time of the semester where it seems like all the professors are conspiring to give tests on the same day. For me it’s, work, study, school repeat. Sleep? HAHA, good joke. I mean, I get what sleep I can but between making sure I keep up with homework and the theory in my classes I am definitely am getting less than I need.
Unfortunately, sleep isn’t the only thing I have been cutting back on. With the increased workload I haven’t had the time to go to the gym some days, especially on days that I have to attend classes. This is definitely one of the things that has an effect on the quality of my work. I have learned over the years that I actually have more energy and am more focused when I regularly exercise.
I was actually complaining to a friend who also attends MC about this very problem when he told me that our college gym has open hours for all registered students! I was shocked. I looked it up, lo and behold it was right there. For the past two weeks I have been using the gym facilites on campus and I can tell you they’re pretty awesome. I’m able to squeeze in my workouts between classes and it’s making me feel so much better on college-days. All you need to go to the gym open hours is a valid student ID card and to fill out the requisite forms at your campus. You can find out further information about forms and open gym hours here. Next week I’ll post some pictures of the facility when I can get some where there aren’t students who don’t want their workout pictures posted. Study well Raptors, have a great week. =]
Story of my life well except the gym part though haha.
Glad to hear that you are able to get some time in the gym! I always feel better when I regularly fit in some exercise. Good luck with midterms!
