The East County Education Center is a square foot, single-story building that consists of 11 for numerous programs; 10 labs (6 allied labs, 3 labs, and 1 career education lab); Central (a one-stop shop for admissions, enrollment, and visitor services); Community Center; Truth, Racial Healing, and Center; Learning Center; Library; Event spaces; Montgomery; Lounges; Student Wellness Center; and Study rooms.
Dr. Hamrawit is the Interim Director for the ECEC. The Center will bring the College’s unique services and programs to the residents of the East County to expand access in this region and to serve as an anchor institution in the . ECEC will offer a few classes during the Spring 2024 semester, with a more robust schedule launching in Summer and Fall 2024.
The Center is easily accessible by driving or taking public transportation. The building is located south of MD-29 and east of . ECEC offers convenient onsite parking. A valid Montgomery College parking permit is required. Visitor permits can be obtained from Raptor Central or from the Office of and Security.
